Synopsis

datalad fsspec-head [-h] [-d DATASET] [-n LINES] [-c BYTES] [--mode-transparent] [--caching {none,ondisk}] [--backends BACKENDS] [--version] path

Description

Show leading lines/bytes of an annexed file by fetching its data from a remote URL

Options

path

Path to an annexed file to show the leading contents of. Constraints: value must be a string

-h, –help, –help-np

show this help message. –help-np forcefully disables the use of a pager for displaying the help message

-d DATASET, –dataset DATASET

dataset to operate on. If no dataset is given, an attempt is made to identify the dataset based on the current working directory. Constraints: Value must be a Dataset or a valid identifier of a Dataset (e.g. a path) or value must be NONE

-n LINES, –lines LINES

How many lines to show (default 10). Constraints: value must be convertible to type ‘int’ or value must be NONE

-c BYTES, –bytes BYTES

How many bytes to show. Constraints: value must be convertible to type ‘int’ or value must be NONE

–mode-transparent

Support reading from .git directory.

–caching {none,ondisk}

Whether to cache data fetched from remote URLs on disk or not at all.

–backends BACKENDS

Comma-separated list of backends to try for remote file access, in priority order. Available: remfile, fsspec. Default: remfile,fsspec. Constraints: value must be a string or value must be NONE

–version

show the module and its version which provides the command
